Oh How Pinteresting: Beauty for Bookworms

07 March 2012

Tonight is the inaugural meeting of my new book club, This Is a Very Good Book Club, at my house! We are discussing my pick, The Paris Wife, and I can't wait to recap all of our fun tomorrow on the blog. I am feeling very literate and Parisian and chic this morning as I mentally prepare for an evening of sparkling conversation (and cake. and for most of us most likely champagne.) and Pinterest has been feeding the fire this morning.

I would not expect a site that for the most part feeds my urge to shop and eat to also up my literary I.Q., but I have found Pinterest to be a great resource of reminding me about books I love, putting new reads on my radar and perhaps most importantly showing me what to do with the mess of books I've made for myself in my living room!

Seeing war through the eyes of a child gets me every time!

I bought this for my mom for Valentine's Day.
Can't wait to borrow it from her! I know, I am a selfish gifter...

Books I've Found (or Been Broken Down into Thinking About Reading) on Pintersest

Since my "one day" girl names are currently
Scout, Heidi and Ramona, I think might be a good buy..

Not a Sci-Fi gal so I said I wouldn't do it,
but now I think I might...

I love all the stacking and spillage against the brick!

I've found lots of tips for my own white bookshelves on Pinterest.
Well I guess I must own this.

I am linking up with Michelle at The Vintage Apple. All you Pinterest fans head over to find the best of the boards this week!

Are you on Pinterest? If so, what are you loving this week?

What are some of your favorite books?

  1. Hi Lilly,

Thanks for stopping by Semi-Charmed Kind of Life! I'm looking forward to your recap of The Paris Wife tomorrow; I've had that on my TBR list for a while. Glad we could help each other out in the book department! :)

P.S. - You should read The Hunger Games, if only to understand what all the hype is about. I read them last year and really enjoyed them. Some people complain about the simple writing style, but it's a Young Adult book, so I figure that's her audience, right?

  2. I need to read more often. I love to read, but I haven't been making the time for it! You have a fun list of books here! I know where to look when I'm ready to get my read on.
