The Do Gooding Gift Guide - Gifts for Girls

22 November 2012

Welcome to the very grand finale of the Do Gooding Gift Guide - gifts
for girls that are locally made or give back to charity through
donations and fair trade initiatives.

DEAR EVERYONE I KNOW - I am a girl and these gifts are officially
approved by me, so, you know....you're going to want to
click through on these....

do gooding gifts for girls by lilly-neubauer featuring genuine leather bags

(Descriptions are Clockwise from Top Left)

Goldenthread Texas Necklace from Longhorn Fashions - I am a Dallasite, but my sister's business, Longhorn Fashions, is technically local since she's currently storing her Trendy Trailer in my driveway. So I am including it in my gift guide, nanny boo boo. I love these necklace as a gift for any refined Texas girl. It's made by a former Texas cheerleader, whose designs have also been worn by my gal Pippa Middleton. I think these necklaces are a great price point, support two cute Texas ladies and are prettily packaged for easy gifting!

Roma Boots - These cute rain boots send a pair overseas to a child who needs protective shoes and are headquartered in Dallas. You can support our local economy while sending help around the world at the same time! I always go to the taupe version, they just seem really Kate Middleton to me. (Two gifts in to my guide and I've already dropped the M-word twice - my gift guide, my rules)

FEED 2 Kenya Bag - I love the original FEED bags, eco totes for groceries and errands that provides meals through food banks and feeding initiatives. When I met the TOMS team at a Neiman Marcus few years ago, the publicist had this bag and I have been crazy obsessed with it ever since. The beading and leather are super gorgeous in person and hand done by women in Kenya. This girl had it on with a black blazer, jeans and a scarf and basically still to this day I want to be her. I seriously love this bag. Proceeds feed two children in Kenyan school programs for a year.

Noonday Belt - This belt from Noonday collection is embroidered by Peruvian women through fair trade workshops. My mom wears hers with jeans or chinos with a crisp white shirt and it always just pops from her outfit and looks so cute. As a family who hopes to one day expand through adoption, I love that this company is an adoptive family who helps parents host truck shows to raise money for adoption costs and gives money to orphan care programs.

Soap Hope Travel Set - Soap Hope is another awesome company based in Dallas. It sells great soaps, personal care products and gifts and loans money to women and world empowerment causes from its earnings. I love the lavender travel collection with hair, body and face care in TSA travel sizes scented by 100% pure essential oils. If you are in the Dallas area, you can save shipping by stopping by their pop up shop at the Shops at Park Lane this holiday season!

Noonday Necklace - I wouldn't typically put two items from one vendor, but I just seriously love Noonday and I am kind of dying for this necklace that I first posted as a perfect concert accessory, so I thought it had to have a little more advertising as my family members are shopping for me. This necklace is made from sustainable acai seeds in Ecudaor, which is especially nostalgic for me since I lived there with my family when I was younger.

I hope by sharing some of my recent favorite finds, you might join me in funding the fun that comes with shopping outside the box, whether it's for a gal, guy or kiddos

Where do you all plan to shop now that the insanity is officially underway?!
