"Thank you for stopping by Pancakes and Beet Juice. If you're seeing this at the top of the feed, I am out of office on an adventure, flexing my muchness. I look forward to catching up soon when I return."
I don't speak much of my day job on my blog. It's not because I find it unworthy of mention, but mostly because I revere the principles of neutrality and diversity that the organization I work for stands on so dearly, that I find my opinionated and sometimes irreverent blog to be a lousy spokesperson for its cause. This, of course, presents its problems when work calls me on quite the big adventure.
I am so honored to be spending the foreseeable weeks in New York helping Hurricane Sandy victims get back to their muchness. I hope to also get the chance to tap mine, since this is the longest I've been away from Markus, Little Child or my reality, ever. I'm hopeful it won't be too much to handle for a girl who cried every day of the first six weeks of first grade.
I will miss blogging for the next weeks, especially since it's always so encouraging, but know if there is one group of people that deserve my undivided attention it is those I am going to serve. I think I will be full of fun stories as soon as I am back!
