Before I headed down to Greenville Avenue, I spent my morning assembling Easter baskets for children in the Child Protective Services system through the Community Partners of Dallas Easter Basket Drive. This is likely the first Easter basket some of these children will receive, and we had them grouped for girls and boys and from infant to 13+ years old. I loved looking in at all the treats in each one!
It was such a cool morning and in two hours, we cranked out TONS of baskets. This isn't even the full room, and was about 2/3 through our day, so imagine even more filling up a room twice this size, plus baskets all up and down the hallways!

Sadly, we'll need even more baskets than this to bring something special to every abused and neglected child in Dallas this Easter. Last year Markus and I had a blast making a basket, but since the drive closes today we're making a quick and easy donation on the Community Partners of Dallas website that can be used to go out for last minute basket supplies. The CPS case workers will come in on Thursday to pick out baskets for their kiddos. So exciting!
Also, exciting - there is a winner for the Noonday Collection Jones Design Journal giveaway! Thanks to everyone for entering, and my honegirl Sarah Cook for being named the lucky winner! What a special treat for someone who has worked in India herself!

Lilly, what a great way to use your time over the weekend. You and Markus are the best!
